How to exclude some components with variables? 2007/04/08 01:56 Karma: 0
I could finally register ircmaxwell!! so I'll post my question here again with your answer.

ircmaxell:
What do you mean exclude a componet with variables?
This component works with URLS. So you can enter any
part of the URL into the exclude list... For example,
to exclude this url:
http://www.ircmaxell.com/component/option,com_comprofiler/task,registers/
You could exlude /com_comprofiler/task,registers/
or
task,registers
or
/com_comprofiler
or component (this would exlude all non-aliased
components)...

so anyways.. I tried using that here:

http://www.daybooster.com/option,com_puarcade/Itemid,27/

tried using just parts of it, but i always get the: Powered By Page_Cache by Ircmaxell
Generated in 0.315127134323 Seconds
message at the botton of each page.

the arcade url convert to: http://www.daybooster.com/index.php?option=com_puarcade&Itemid=27&gid=14
this is because the SEF component doesn't work with this component. tried using "com_puarcade", even the whole url and still get the generated pages even when using ctrl+f5 in my browser.

I've tried excluding the forum aswell, using "/forum", "forum" and still same thing. the forum url is http://www.daybooster.com/forum"

If you need anymore info about this please tell me ircmaxell. I really like your component but some components do not work properly when cached such as the 2 I mentioned above.

anyways..

thanks for your quick email reply!

Ariel.

Ok, could you post the lines in question from the exclude list? Try putting this in for the arcade and forums (one entry)...
string:
Code:

 /(puarcade|forums)/

Regex: Yes
TTL: 0
Published: Yes
Description: Disables caching for Puarcade and Forums...
