The install didn't work then. Go to the admin menu, and click unmodify files (so the site will work). Then go into phpMyAdmin, and tell me if any of these tables exist...
jos_page_cache_bot jos_page_cache_conf jos_page_cache_exclude jos_page_cache_pages jos_page_cache_stats

no tables exist as mentioned...
I had to manually rename files as well, but as a good thing, always have backups

Uninstall and reinstall the component. At the install screen (after you click install), copy the top database section (from Installing Database, to the horizontal rule).

The horizontal line. It should say something like Installing Database Installing... Checking For Previous Installation... None Found, installing database... ... ... ... Database Installation/Upgrade Complete (OR if there were errors) There were errors, installation may not be complete...
Copy all that stuff...

No, from Joomla Administration, uninstall the component. Then install the component again, paying attention to the area I mentioned in the last post.

Alright, I made an extremely minor update. Try downloading the component again, and install. After the install, go to the Component menu -> Page Cache -> Install Database. Try that.
