General setup help please 2007/04/05 21:26 Karma: 0
Hi,
Anychance you can explain some of the configuration section?
Path to cache directory (Must be writable by the server, and end in a / - do we have to fill in a path here? If so should it read /public_html/cache/ if this is the folder we want to use?

License Key - what is this? do we need one?

Any thing else we have to do to make this work properly? A short tutorial would be very helpful I think for those of us not too sure..

thanks
Russ

Alright, the cache directory only needs to be filled in if you use File caching. The path MUST be absolute (aka, if you document root is /home/mysite/public_html, then you could do /home/mysite/cache/ or /home/mysite/public_html/cache)

As for license key, for a small $10 donation I will provide this key which will remove the "Powered by ..." Line from the bottom of each page.

You can read the FAQ to help figure out each item. I'll probably make up a tutorial, but I don't have time now...
