Well, it's been a while since my last article/post. I must apologize for that. I was busy last week getting the new server fully functional (which it is). Not to mention the fact that I went to Canada for the weekend (I needed a vacation), and the hotel didn't even have WiFi! That annoyed me a little... Then there was a Woot-Off... For those of you that don't know, I run one of the busiest Woot Trackers on the internet. During the 2 day event, I averaged over 250 requests per second, with a peak of over 800 requests per second. That's 10 mbit on average, and over 80 mbit peak... WOW! Oh, and the best part? The 1 minute load never passed 1.5... CPU usage was under 15% the entire time. I couldn't have been happier with how it performed. If there was ANY reason to switch to Lighttpd, this was it. On another note, I've added a new small feature to the site. If you look on the upper left of the page, you'll see Featured Site. That site will change daily, and it's a site that's powered by PageCache. You have a site you want featured? Contact me for details!
