BUT NOT HERE!!!
The home of PageCache has been moved to a new Joomla site... JoomlaPerformance!!! This site will still be up to cater to the Mambo croud, but the new JoomlaPerformance site will be the main site for Joomla information (including the PageCache components)! A special thanks goes out to a few of the Joomla Core Team members, without whom Joomla Performance would never have gotten off the ground. So head over there, and check out the site! |

It's been an interesting proccess getting PageCache 2.0 up and running... Trying to incorporate a lot of requested features has not been easy (but it's done)! I think I have almost all of the bugs worked out of it (I tested it from (OS, PHP, MySQL) (Win64, 4.3.8, 4.0.11) TO (RHEL4, 5.2.2, 5.0.18) and it worked fine in all of them)... The date is set as this Friday (August 24, 2007) at 8am EST (1200 UTC). Check back here then for the download  !!! |

Well, the core of the component is functional!!! There's absolutely nothing fancy in it yet (unless you consider the ability to run NATIVELY in both 1.0 and 1.5 with the same package fancy)... It's caching pages on my testbed as we speak. Here's some REALLY initial performance data with nothing but Sample data installed...
- Joomla 1.0.13
- Average Uncached Time (without component) : 0.08 seconds
- Average Cached Time (with component) : 0.04 seconds
- Joomla 1.5.0 RC1
- Average Uncached Time : 0.13 seconds
- Average Cached Time : 0.012 seconds

- Everything
- Build MANY modules (right now, the only modules built are the backends)
- Build Administration section
- Build installer
- Beta Test
